Can a Marriage or Divorce Cause Large Weight Gains in Men and Women?

A Divorce and a Marriage May Cause Large Weight Gains in Men and Women

ScienceDaily (Aug. 22, 2011)

The Science Daily reported that new research shows that there is clearly an adverse affect on both men and women after a transition after a marriage or a divorce.  "Clearly, the effect of marital transitions on weight changes differs by gender," said Dmitry Tumin, lead author of the study and doctoral student in sociology at Ohio State University.

According to the report by the Science Daily, Tumin conducted the study with Zhenchao Qian, professor of sociology at Ohio State University. They presented their research Aug. 22 in Las Vegas at the annual meeting of the American Sociological Association.

The report said that, both marriage and divorce can act as "weight shocks," leading people to add a few extra pounds -- especially among those over age 30 -- according to a new study. But when it comes to large weight gains, the effects of marital transitions are quite different for men than they are for women.

"Divorces for men and, to some extent, marriages for women promote weight gains that may be large enough to pose a health risk."

The probability of large weight gains following marital transitions increased the most for people past age 30.

"For someone in their mid-20s, there is not much of a difference in the probability of gaining weight between someone who just got married and someone who never married. But later in life, there is much more of a difference," he said.

There is much more to the report and study that you can find at the Science Daily site.

Serena Williams' Plunging Minidress

Did Serena Williams’ plunging minidress steal show?

Original By Chris Chase
Photos: Serena Williams’ plunging minidress steals show at ESPYsWhat does Chris Chase means by, "to say Serena Williams stole the show at the ESPYs suggests that there was a show to steal?"

Recently the world No. 172  tennis star Serena Williams walked the red carpet in a dazzling, low-cut pink minidress that accentuated her curvy physique.

To accentuate the dress she wore a gold Christian Louboutin with heels that added at least four inches to Serena's 5-foot-9 frame.

Accordingly Serena only played in two tournaments since last year's show; however, she was awarded the ESPY award for best female tennis player, which, according to Chris Chase, "is like the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences giving an Oscar to Al Pacino for this year's sure-to-be stinker "Jack and Jill" because he was fantastic in "The Godfather II."

Well Chris went off on a tangent there, never-the-less Serena showed up and stole the show with her very hot pink, plunging minidress.  What do you think about Serenas' dress and the fact that she was awarded best female tennis player?

Ahhhhhh! What curves?  How curvacious?  Ok!  Serena got her curves the old fashion way.  A combination of genes, sweat on the court and in the gym and on the tracks.

But just in case you would like some curves but are somewhat overweight/near obese or just too busy and can't make it to the gym, then you may want to take a look at what others are doing to lose weight.

This is what some folks are now doing to bring out their curves with ease and change their lives around.

And most of all just as Serena is getting paid well to do what she likes, these folks are getting paid, to bring out the curves in them.  Check it out here:

The US Department of Agriculture food pyramid has been replaced by "MyPlate icon" emphasizing vegetable, grains, protein and dairy....

The Science Daily News (2011-06-02), recently reported that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has unveiled the federal government's new food icon, MyPlate.  What this means is move over, food pyramid. The new icon is to remind Americans to eat better and to serve as a reminder to help consumers make healthier food choices.

According to the report MyPlate is a new generation icon with the intent to prompt consumers to think about building a healthy plate at meal times and to seek more information to help them do that by going to www.ChooseMyPlate.gov. The new MyPlate icon emphasizes the fruit, vegetable, grains, protein and dairy food groups.

"This is a quick, simple reminder for all of us to be more mindful of the foods that we're eating and as a mom, I can already tell how much this is going to help parents across the country," said First Lady Michelle Obama. "When mom or dad comes home from a long day of work, we're already asked to be a chef, a referee, a cleaning crew. You can get the full original story here on the MyPlate icon.

Do You Know The Right Way To Walk Off Weight?

Want to Know The Right Way To Walk Off Weight?

Have you been walking but getting nowhere with your weight loss efforts? Don't despair, you're not alone. It turns out that a lot of people shares your dilemma, but help is right around the corner.

I found this wonderful article by Maggie Spilner, former Prevention Walking Editor. Her pearls of wisdom should shed some light on your walking weight loss efforts.

Prevention's Pedometer Walking Exercise Program

Try our pedometer program if other weight loss programs haven't worked.
By Maggie Spilner , Former Prevention Walking Editor, Maggie Spilner, is the author of Prevention's Complete Book of Walking. She is currently organizing walking trips, lecturing, and working on a new walking book.

Introduction

You've walked your buns off, and you haven't lost a pound? All that hoofing, and you're still having trouble zipping up even your "fat pants"? We've heard your frustration, and we've developed a program to take your walking workouts to the next level-and finally blast away all the pounds you want to lose.

In my 15+ years as Prevention's walking editor, I discovered that one of the most common mistakes made by walkers who want to lose weight is getting stuck in neutral. Even if you're taking thousands of extra steps according to your pedometer, if they're always at the same comfortable pace, you won't drop an ounce. You need to shift your walks into high gear!

Prevention's "Walk Off More Weight" pedometer exercise program can help. This walking workout builds on our original pedometer program that appeared in the magazine in July 2001. Along with increasing the number of steps you take throughout the day, you'll pick up your intensity (thus increasing your heart rate) for a portion of those steps. Adding this type of intensity helps boost calorie burn, fitness, and endurance.

We asked 25 people just like you, people who'd been walking regularly but just weren't seeing any results, to try our pedometor walking exercise program for 8 weeks. Those with the most outstanding results diligently stuck to the pedometer walking exercise program and made simple but committed changes in their diets, such as eating less meat or sweets or eating more fruits and vegetables. (We asked them not to change their diets, so we could see the results of an exercise-only program. But once they stepped up their exercise efforts, they just couldn't resist shaping up their diets too!) After just 8 weeks, they were hooked.

Read the success stories of four revved-up walkers who lost pounds and inches, improved their fitness, and increased their energy levels. They also lowered their cholesterol and their triglycerides! Now, it's your turn.

All you need is a pedometer with a pulse meter. (Or use a regular pedometer, and track your heart rate.) First, figure out the average number of steps you take a day. To do this, wear your pedometer from the time you get up in the morning until you go to bed at night. Don't change your daily routine or walk more than usual. Do this for 3 days, ideally 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day. Total your steps for the 3 days, and divide by three to get your baseline.

To establish your daily step goal, add 7,500 steps (about 3 3/4 miles) to your baseline.

Reach Your Zone To calculate your target heart rate zone, subtract your age from 220. That's your maximum heart rate (MHR). Then, keep your pulse between 60 and 80% of your MHR. If you're 40, for example, your MHR is 180 beats per minute. Your target range is 108 to 144 beats per minute (180 x 0.60 and 180 x 0.80). These are only estimates; always consider how you feel as well.

Check your pulse by placing two fingers lightly on your wrist (on the side by your thumb) or on your neck (slightly off center). Count the beats for 10 seconds, then multiply by 6. Or, you can use a heart rate monitor. Get the full article here.

Do You Want To Know What the 5 Worst Beach Body Foods Are?

What Are The 5 Worst Beach-Body Foods
By David Zinczenko with Matt Goulding
Jun 03, 2011
David Zinczenko and Matt Goulding recently published an article on health.yahoo.net entitled “5 Worst Beach-Body Foods.”  They did an excellent job pointing out some of the hazards of consuming certain foods and drinks.

The goal of the article was probably to make you aware of the foods that can make you look bulkier than you are, usually by making you bloated. Oh! I also suspected that it was also to introduce you to some new books out on the subject matter of weight loss.
I have got you the #5 worst-beach body food, which is actually a drink below.  You can get the whole original story here.
Summer is a challenging time for Kanye West, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry. I'm not talking about the pop charts; they seem to have those well in hand. I'm talking about the paparazzi.

Celebrity photographers love nothing more than to catch a pop phenomenon emerging from the surf in St. Barts looking a little flabby, so they can sell their "Shocking Weight Gain!" headlines at the drugstore checkout. Is it unfair? You bet. Are you and I going to stare at the pictures anyways? Oh, yeah.

We like seeing celebs look less than perfect because, come swimsuit season, we all feel like we're being gawked at; and whether those photos wind up in the tabloids or on our mom's Facebook page, we all want to look our best. So what can you do when the cover-ups are about to come off and the cameras about to turn on?

It's simple: Avoid self-sabotage by letting
Eat This, Not That! 2011 guide you through the foods and drinks that can cause bloating, water retention, and short-term weight gain—snacks that can make you look flabbier than you really are.
Below, I've listed the very worst beach-body foods and beverages, and some smart alternatives that will help you make this summer your leanest, fittest, healthiest ever! (Note to Lady Gaga: These are foods that you eat. Not foods that you wear. Just FYI.)
 #5: WORST DRINK
Diet Coke (12 fl. oz. bottle) and other diet sodas
0 calories
0 g fat
0 g sugar

No calories, no fat, and no sugar—so what's the harm? For starters, the carbon dioxide that supplies soda's fizz will continue to burble and expand in your stomach, priming you for serious bloat. That's the short-term effect. The long-term could be even worse: The artificial sweeteners in diet soda might actually inhibit weight loss.
Studies have shown that rats consuming artificial sweeteners consume more calories at subsequent meals. It's as if the promise of calories, without the payoff, causes the body to crave food. Below is a better beach-day beverage:
Hint Water. By drinking water, you keep your body flushed out and your skin looking healthy, and since Hint uses natural flavors, you earn all the boons of hydration without suffering the downsides of sugar and artificial sweeteners.
Drink This Instead!

Hint Cucumber Water (16 fl. oz.)
0 calories
0 g fat
0 g sugar

U.S News Best Weight Loss Diets

Looking For The Best Weight-Loss Diet?

Health.yahoo.net, just published the results of a diet plan ratings that was done by some weight loss experts for U.S News. They listed a rating for 20 of the most popular diet plans out today. Their result surprisingly placed the Weight Watchers Diet plan as #1.

Best Weight-Loss Diets

By U.S. News Staff
Tue, Jun 07, 2011
They cautioned though that it may not work for everyone and actually gave it a rating of moderately effective. For long term weight loss. Below I've listed the top five of the diet plans. You can get the full story at “Best Weight-LossDiets.”

The best diet to lose weight on is Weight Watchers, according to weight-loss experts who rated the diets below for U.S. News. The Jenny Craig diet program and the Raw Food Diet come in close behind. Some other diets outperform these for fast weight loss, but long-term weight loss is more important for your health.”
#1. Weight Watchers Diet
(3.8 out of 5.0)
This popular points-counting diet helps dieters drop pounds—and keep them off. In experts' ratings, Weight Watchers bested all other ranked diets for both short-term and long-term weight loss. But that doesn't guarantee it will work for everyone. Its average rating of "moderately effective" for long-term weight loss reflects the difficulty dieters have staying on the wagon, even when using the best weight-loss diet available.

#2. (tie) Jenny Craig Diet
(3.5 out of 5.0)
As a weight-loss diet, Jenny Craig outranked nearly all of its competitors. Experts appreciated, among other aspects of the program, the value of the emotional support provided by its weekly one-on-one counseling sessions. A few experts, however, questioned whether dieters can expect to keep the weight off once they're weaned from the diet's prepackaged, portion-controlled foods. Though not factored into its ranking, Jenny Craig's cost is relatively high.

#3. (tie) Raw Food Diet
(3.5 out of 5.0)
The raw food diet can deliver both short- and long-term weight loss, experts concluded, since raw foodists typically eat fewer calories than other people. But the restrictive and labor-intensive diet certainly isn't for everyone.

#4. Volumetrics Diet
(3.4 out of 5.0)
Volumetrics helps dieters drop pounds—and keep them off. It scored well in both the short- and long-term weight loss categories, comparable to or better than many other diets. Because it focuses on satiety, or the satisfied feeling that you’ve had enough, it’s “more likely to be successful” than other diets.

#5. (tie) Slim-Fast Diet
(3.3 out of 5.0)
Slim-Fast claims dieters will drop one to two pounds a week. Experts awarded the program relatively high scores for short-term and long-term weight loss, indicating their optimism the pounds will stay off, too.

#5. (tie) Vegan Diet
(3.3 out of 5.0)
Going vegan gives you good odds of losing weight and keeping it off, according to experts. Veganism is also an effective weight-control method. But vegans must be “very committed,” as one expert put it, because forgoing all animal products can be challenging.

Can Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Surgery Raise The Ods For Alcohol Abuse?

Can Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Surgery Raise The Odds For Alcohol Abuse?

MONDAY, May 9 (HealthDay News).  HealthDay Begs the question, "Could gastric bypass weight-loss surgery raise the odds for alcohol abuse afterwards?"

According to HealthDay News, "A team from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm tracked more than 12,000 patients who underwent primary bariatric surgery between 1980 and 2006."  What they found is alarming.

From the results of their research, they concluded that it is a high probability, that gastric bypass weight -loss surgery can raise the odds for alcohol abuse after undergoing the surgery.

The study found there was greater risk of hospitalization for depression, attempted suicide, substance abuse and alcoholism following Gastric Bypass weight-loss surgery. (The bariatric patients also had a greater risk than the general population of hospitalization for psychiatric disease before their weight-loss surgery.)

The patients were matched against a control group of almost 123,000 patients from the general population.

That's the finding from a group of Swedish researchers who were slated to present their data this past Saturday at the Digestive Disease Week conference in Chicago.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Do you know anyone who had a gastric bypass weight loss surgery?
Do you know if they have regained their weight or have been hospitalized for any reason?
Do you know if they had to have a second surgery?
Do you know anyone considering a gastric bypass weight loss surgery?
Do you know if that person has considered a weight loss alternative with testimonials that may be safe and effective at the same time with less side effects?

Get a Bikini Body

 Bikini Body

Have you seen 'Bikini-ready'? Who's judging?' by CATHERINE SAINT LOUIS

I market pain free weight loss products for people who  have tried dieting, pills and potions to get a bikini body, but just can not lose the weight, like what happened to Tanya above.

Do you know anyone who might like to know about those type of products?

Do you desire to get a bikini body?  Do you want to torture yourself with a starvation diet or arduous workout plan in order to have that perfect bikini body this summer?  If your answer is yes. You are not alone, thousands of people are and will be doing so.

“Bikini-ready? Who’s judging,” Is the title of an article, reprinted here in the Seattle Times, by Catherine Saint Louis. Catherine, wrote, "Skin Deep: As our culture increasingly enshrines physical perfection, the bikini has come to inspire dread and awe."

Should women torture themselves, every spring in order to get a  bikini body for summer?  What do you think?  According to Catherine Saint Louis, “every spring, as sure as cherry blossoms bloom, so does the notion that women should diet, exercise and even liposuction their way to bikini-ready bodies.”

I found Catherine’s article originally printed in the New York Times interesting and hilarious. She wrote that, “Magazines like Shape and Self reinforce the idea that preparation is essential, with months-long bikini body countdowns (100-calorie snack tips included) and workout DVDs like “Bikini Ready Fast!” as if the beach reveal were a test on par with the MCAT and only a slacker would settle for a one-piece.”

Bikini-ready and get a bikini body is now Big Business, a niche in the weight loss world.  At first it was just weight loss, but now it is weight loss-bikini ready.  Catherine points out that, “The bikini has become the star of several fear-inspiring marketing campaigns.

Yes you read that right.  They are installing fear in women now to get a bikini body.

A recent advertisement for Yoplait Light features an itsy-bitsy yellow-and-red polka dotted bikini hanging on a wall as a future award for the diligent yogurt eater.”  You may have seen the ads.  It lead to more aggressive ads campaign worth millions for bikini body.

Catherine also points out that, “Nivea has a Goodbye Cellulite, Hello Bikini! Challenge, which prods women to slim down and buy its products. Nivea also sponsors the Cosmopolitan Magazine Bikini Bash, which last year involved 100 lithe dancers in blue-and-white ruffled bikinis tossing their hair violently to the Midi Mafia's song "Two-Piece" in front of 1,000 attendees at the Planet Hollywood resort in Las Vegas.

The two male singers of "Two-Piece," fully clothed, belted, "You all look like models off the cover of Cosmo."”

So what are people paying to have a bikini body? Catherine has the following two examples. “Amansala, a "bikini boot camp," in Ibiza, Spain, and Tulum, Mexico, sells six-night stays starting at $1,875.”  That can be an awesome adventure.  You can come back from such a trip with a bikini body and fully tanned.

Ah-ha! She points out a visit to a publicized doctor Levine visit about getting a  bikini body in New York.  “This month, when I visited the doctors, at the end of the interview, I hoisted my shirt, pointed to the crepey skin under my bellybutton, and grabbed a pinch of fat that wasn't there before childbirth, back in my triathlete days.

The Levines' prescription: liposuction, a skin-tightening procedure, or a tummy tuck, which costs $10,000, with a painful recovery.” “It might just be cheaper to gain a fresh perspective.”

Ohhhh! Yes. A $10,000.00 procedure.  Is it worth it?  To some people it is. For some with the money it is the easy way out.

Maybe it is just me.  But, I agree with Catherine that,   “It might just be cheaper to gain a fresh perspective.”  And yes, I found, what could quite possibly be that cheaper perspective to get a bikini body, with less stress and pain free.

What if Six Steps Gave You a Hot Body Like Courteney Cox's Bikini Body?

Can You Follow Six Steps to a Hot Body Like Courteney Cox's Bikini Body?

Photo by Angela Weiss – property of and © 2011 Getty Images –
See original bikini photo and article here.

OMG! OMG.Yahoo has an article featuring Courteney Cox’s bikini body.  At 46 Cox is sporting a hot body, and the author Lizbeth Scordo, referred to her as “hot mama Courteney Cox.  She also begs the question, “but how does she stay in such great shape?”  Lizbeth, credited trainer Michele Lovitt, as the one whose training routines with Cox help her keep that bikini body.

She listed six exercises from one of the routine Lizbeth does with Cox to maintain her hot body.  The 6 exercises sound like basic exercises until you read the instructions.  They are, in my opinion not for the majority of people who are carrying some extra weight and who have never set foot in a gym.

I had a hard time understanding the instructions and doing them comfortably, maybe it was the terminology used.  I guess that is why you’d need a personal trainer to work with you. Below I listed the exercises mentioned in the article, that when done will get you Cox's bikini body.

You can find the instructions here. The six hot body exercises for this particular bikini body routine are:

1.      Squats
2.      One Legged Deadlifts
3.      Reverse lunges
4.      Supermans
5.      Chair Pose
6.      Half Moon Pose
I thought it was just me who had a difficult time understanding the instructions, until I read some of the posted comments, one in particular by Nonparieldolls.  I totally agree with her.  Here is a part of her comment.

“If anyone actually reads the article, it is a joke, right? I'd like to see the average person who could perform those "simple" exercises. Especially from the description given, with no pictures. And I most especially would NOT want to see someone seriously overweight attempt one of them, not without paramedics standing by.”

If you understand the instructions and have the equipments needed if any or have the money for a personal trainer, then go for it and enjoy your new hot body-bikini body.

Some of the posted comments mentioned Courteney’s money and not having a regular 9-5 as to her hot bikini body.  That maybe so; however, I have a friend in her mid 50’s with a very hot body.  She works a regular 9-5 and works hard.

One difference is that she doesn’t have any kids and oh, she is now single. This particular friend has been able to maintain her hot body with a strict, disciplined life style.

She eats healthy wholesome meals with lots of fiber, vegetables and nuts and rarely eats after 7:00pm.  After 7:00pm it would be shakes, nuts or fruits, if she gets hungry.  She has some basic floor exercises that she does every day, including stretching.  She also walks for 45 minutes to 1 hour at least 3 times a week and would put in what she calls her long walk which is for 2 hours once a week.

I have been out on her long walks on several occasions and they lasted 21/2 hours long.  Now that may be extreme for some of you, but it is what she does to keep a hot body.

She makes those sacrifices, she doesn’t pay a trainer.  She uses basic common sense, discipline and dedication and listens to Dr. Oz.  She makes the time to go walking.  She doesn’t find time, she makes it.  Now I understand some of you may not have the discipline to make time or control your eating habits.

But what if, you started making a little changes by maybe cutting out or cut down on your daily $5.00 coffee or cigarettes or weekly alcohol or daily fast food run?  And what if with the money you saved, you do what  Ms. T. Whiteman did?

Ms. Whiteman did a little change, major sacrifice, in her hectic lifestyle, and now she is slimmer, well, sexier with a hot body.  She is also healthier, happier and richer and so can you.  Check out what Ms. Whiteman in her hot bikini body and see what and some of her associates are doing to lose weight in a week.

Managing Stress To Lose Weight

Do You Need to Manage Stress and Lose Weight?

Are you over weight and under undue stress?  Stressed out from job, business, family, relationship and unemployment etc.?  Does it look like there is no way out?  You are trying to manage stress but the bills aren’t going anywhere.  Job demand and family demands are surely going to be there.  Things may seem bleak now but you have a lot more control over managing stress than you think.

According to Melinda Smith, M.A., Ellen Jaffe-Gill, M.A., and Robert Segal, M.A contributing authors to HELPGUIDE.org, “Managing your stress level is all about taking charge: taking charge of your thoughts, your emotions, your schedule, your environment, and the way you deal with problems.”  Of course you may think that there is nothing you can do about the job stressors, but that’s not necessarily true.

With some planning and some sacrifice you can balance your life and manage stress with time for work, family relationships, relaxation, and fun plus get the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head on with ease and thus manage your stress level.

Earlier today I was on a phone conferencing call with some very excited business partners.  It turned out that the majority of the call leaders and some of the guest speakers were in Jamaica.

Yes, celebrating their free trip from the parent company for certain achievement of helping people lose weight and changing their lives. They are all living a somewhat stress free life style but it has not always been that way.

One lady in particular, Cala had a heart wrenching story.  She said, she got into Network Marketing, with a skin care company right after college.  She did well but many people had a hard time selling the products and the business.

Before long she was losing money and needed to manage the stress.  She then went into the retail business and again did well.  Then came along family and kids, but she endured. She opened another store and before she knew it she was spending a lot more time away from her family.

The stress became more demanding and she started gaining weight.  She tried several weight loss products to no avail.  She was about to give up when she was introduce to this company.  Halfheartedly she tried the products and lost 13 lbs in 8 days and she was able to lose the weight in a week with ease.  She went on to lose 44 pounds in 90 days, with ease.

That prompted her to start sharing what she was doing with others, which led to her making money on a daily basis and eventually to a practically stress free life style.  she now spends a lot more time with her family and a lot less time on managing stress.  You can find out more stories similar to Cala at weight loss stories.

Why You Must Lose Belly Fat

Why You Must Lose Your Excess Belly Fat

If you're walking around with excess belly fat, an article written by Lisa Collier Cool, for Yahoo!Health, may be an eye opener for you. The article entitled, Body FatPercentage—The Best Measure of Health Risks will shed some light on the hazards of carrying around excess belly fat. What I got from the article is that you need to lose your belly fat, if you have any.

She opened the article with, “did you know that a big belly is as dangerous to your health as smoking a pack of cigarettes daily or having high cholesterol?”

I have heard that statement before, but Lisa went on to tell about a study the Mayo Clinic research team did on CAD patients with central obesity (inner tube around the waist).  I have posted the result below.

She went on to write that, “People with clogged arteries and a wide waistline are nearly twice as likely to die prematurely, even if their body mass index (BMI) is normal.”  This was in accordance to a study published in the May 10 issue of Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

She wrote, “that one of the Mayo Clinic researchers’ most surprising findings was that as BMI went up, risk of death from CAD actually went down, thus confirming the so-called “obesity paradox” observed in some earlier studies.”

The Mayo Clinic researchers have been diligently studying the hazards of obesity in relations to BMI.  “The study compared measures of overall obesity (BMI) and measures of central obesity (waist-to-hip ratio and waist circumference).”

The study had some alarming conclusion.  It found that, “CAD patients with central obesity (belly fat) were 70 percent more likely to die during the study period, which had an average of 2.3 years of follow-up.” the bottom line is that if you have excessive belly fat, you need to lose weight.

The study also shed some light on the following 3 points:

(1).   There are people with belly fat whose weight may look normal but their bodies behave like they are obese, due to belly fat.

(2).   Many of these people are unaware that they’re at increased risk for heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

(3).  If your waist circumference or waist-to-hip ratio are too high, slimming down could save your life. Shedding as little as five percent of your body weight (7.5 pounds for a 150 pound person) improves blood pressure and cholesterol and helps prevent diabetes and heart disease. You’ll also look and feel better.

I don't know what your weight or physical condition is like; however, if you are carrying excessive belly fat around your waist, you may wan to lose that belly fat now. Likewise, if you haven't signed in to get your free weight loss booklet, go ahead and do so now.  You will find some great information on how to start your weight loss journey.

Commit To Winning The Weight Loss Battle

Committing to Win The Weight Loss Battle

Winning The Weight Loss Battle

Now that you are committed to winning the weight loss battle and have started walking and increasing the length and duration of your walks, it is a good idea to incorporate safety into your walks.  This may be in the form of some good walking shoes and learning some proper stretching techniques.

I don’t think taking a leisurely walk around the block for 10 minutes requires any stretching; however, if you are not used to walking continuously for 20 to 30 minutes at a time you may want to stretch and do some warm up exercise.

By the way leisurely walks for 15 to 30 minutes at a time continuously, is a great way to stimulate your heart and your lungs towards being healthy and winning the weight loss battle. As you get stronger you can increase the pace of your walk.

If you’re not able to do some stretching exercises, the following may help you avoid pain and cramps.  Massaging the bottom of your feet before and after each walk is a good way to keep the blood flowing and may prevent cramping.

Another good technique to stimulate blood flow is to palm your lower body, before and after walking.  You can do this from a sitting or standing position.  Lightly pat down your whole lower body for 3 to 5 minutes using the palm of your hands.

You can start with your hip or your butt and work your way down to your ankles and work your way back up.  You can do one leg at a time or both at the same time.  Go ahead and pat down the inside, outside, front and back of each leg.

Let’s say you were going to walk 400 yards, if you have markers, you would walk 50 yards leisurely, then the next 50 yards briskly and so on, till you finish the 400 yards walk.  When you’ve walked 400 yards 3 to 4 times for the week, extend the distance to 500 then 600 then 700 yards etc.

Do spacing 3 to 4 times a week and increase the distance of your walk each week until you’re walking continuously for 45 minutes to an hour.  Once you’re walking 30 to 35 minutes continuously you may want to change you spacing from distance to minutes.

Here you may walk leisurely for 3 minutes and then briskly for 9 to 10 minutes.  Switch it around and do what’s comfortable for you.

We don’t want you to be in pain at the end of your walks and having you quit.  Consistent, continuous walking 3 to 4 days a week will increase your health and ultimately you will see the weight falling off.

Please, whatever you do don’t starve yourself and don’t go on cottage cheese diets and any other unhealthy diet plan.  Do increase your water intake and even drink a glass of water 5 to 10 minutes before eating.

Also increase your fiber intake.  A heaping teaspoon full of psyllium husk in a glass of water or juice  or lemonade 2 times a day will do wonders for you to help you in winning your weight loss battle.

The bottom line here is to concentrate on safely keeping up with your walks.  You may want to get you some good walking shoes and maybe even subscribe to a walking magazine online or a walking club.

Emotional Maturity And Weight Loss

How Can Emotional Maturity Leads to Weight Loss?

How Emotional Maturity Leads to Weight Loss Success

I market a weight loss program for people who are lacking emotional maturity and are always either starving, binge eating, exercising excessively, or on some crazy fad diet, for weight loss, but without much success...

Just as Rebecca F. below did before this...This is what she had to say about this program....

"My brother-in-law and sister-in-law were both taking... products and had each lost about 40 pounds. In addition to the weight loss though, they told me how great the products made them feel overall.
This intrigued me and I wanted to try the products to see what they could do for me, but I will be honest, I was was skeptical. I don’t believe there is a magic pill that can replace diet and exercise, nor do I buy into stuff like this or think that a “snake oil” can fix everything."
"I have battled bulimia for over 20 years. I made the girls basketball team my sophomore year in high school and I thought I needed to lose some weight. That is when it all began.
I was either starving, binge eating, exercising excessively, or on some crazy fad diet. The only time I took care of my body was when I was pregnant. I sought some counseling but that didn’t help."
She did all sort of things, then she found this program and it changed her life...here is what she said...
"In my first week using..., I fell in love with them! I have been taking ... products for over 6 weeks now, and not only have I gotten my diet under control, I no longer have the urge to go back to my old ways. I see food as fuel for my body not as the enemy. ... gave me something back that nothing else could…my life!
I no longer have the ugly demon of a eating disorder weighing on me. I cannot believe how amazing I feel, I am lucky that I discovered such a great product."
Emotional maturity lends itself and goes hand in hand with healthy weight loss and weight management.  You may not be aware of it but your emotional sense of well being can affect whether you lose or gain weight.

Let's check how this works... Do you turn to eating and overeating because you are upset, you feel angry?

Do you become or play couch potato because someone or something made you frustrated?

Do you over do anything in an attempt to conform to what in your mind society expects or approves?

With emotional maturity:  You understand that, there will be circumstances-and yes, people-that may lead you to feel angry, and exasperated.  However, you understand that no one can really make you feel angry, frustrated, resentful or any other emotion that can hamper your emotional well being, that leads to over eating or playing couch potato.

A healthy spirit creates a healthy attitude which creates a healthy altitude that can motivate you to a healthy lifestyle and healthy weight management.

And that is where this program comes in...It is a nutritional program...

and is designed to tackle the core area of your body.  The core area  is one of the most important areas to stimulate weight loss, restore energy and promote optimal health.

Like nuclear fusion occurring in the sun’s core, this program creates a synergetic Nutrient Fusion within your body, helping you to lose weight and live a life that’s simply more healthy and vibrant.

For your peace of mind, this program has effectively helped ten of thousands of people over the past four years and is a clinically proven, holistic, and simple four-step, four pill approach to stimulate weight loss, increase energy, and generate optimal health.

Optimal health tends to go hand in hand with emotional maturity.  When the body is in good health, and the mind is in good health the brain does not succumb easily to outside stressors such as ones behavior towards you.

However; when you get all of the above in order and under control you will be amazed at your weight loss and how easy it is to create your own weight loss story.

When your system is out of sync, your body's ability to burn fat and lose weight easily diminishes.

If your mind and attitude are not in order you may forever be stuck in a yo-yo diet and weight loss and eventually you will just give up with a cute saying behind the whole ordeal.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. As you now know about this program that is a clinically proven, holistic, and simple four-step, four pill approach to stimulate your weight loss, increase your energy, and generate optimal health to lose the weight you want with ease.

So my question to you again is, "do you know anyone who might like to know about a program like that?
